Life is short. You didn’t know when or how you’re life will end. Death might come anytime without any prior notice. No time and no specific date. Well, that’s a fact but the thing is… are you going to just let it happen? Will you allow that your life will be as meaningless as a dummy?
Think it over. If tomorrow never runs out, time is slowly vanishing. There are things you can continue tomorrow but you can never change what had happened no matter how hard you try.
You can never go back to the time you committed mistake. There’s no such thing as a time machine that you can use just to correct all those things that you’ve done wrongly.
“Live like you’re going to die tomorrow”, I remember this quote from my professor in Philosophy class when I was in my first year college (2nd semester). That quote has a lot of things to explain. I just know, that this quote is trying to tell everybody that as long as we’re breathing we should make right decisions so that our life will be meaningful and not just a piece of crap. That was my perspective about life before until I went to college and decide for my own (anyway, I’m always like that… I don’t want anyone to dictate me about what shall I do with my life because I own this, even my parents can’t hold me, except for financial cases, that’s the only way they can control me, but in other aspects, I am the one in charge for myself.) I am not being rebellious or something but my point is in order for you to have a “quality-lived life”, (yeah, that’s my term for It.) you should live your life to the fullest, in short; maximize it in whatever order you like.
Life is divided in some several parts: Academic life, [Socio-cultural, Sports, Music,] Activity life (you cannot choose all of them unless you’re able to manage all of these at the same time) Social life, Love life and Spiritual life. To elaborate each of those, here is the first one: Academic life usually deals with studying, mainly, your life as a student and believe it or not, we spend half of our life in school. We learn new stuffs such as how a caterpillar becomes a butterfly and other academic stuffs, things that could only be taught in school and I consider learning is fun (especially when you are interested and you enjoy doing it but if not, better yet change your perspective about studying because you have nothing to do but to endure it). Next in line is the Activity life, well, apparently it is divided into three categories: Socio-cultural, sports and music.
I’ll say something about my favorite first, the socio-cultural. Definitely it is all about theater. All in one jam-packed thing. You could be a singer, dancer and actress at the same time. Here also, you can be a writer, a producer or even a director of your own show, your own stage play in any theme you’d like to present. Creativity is all in here. Thinking out of the box is one routine that everyone cannot avoid. Productions, costumes and make up are all involved here. So if you think it’s your thing? Go ahead and join some theater organizations inside and outside the school. It’ll be your training ground for you to be an ultimate performer you could ever imagine. By owning the stage, that’s how it takes.
Secondly, is the life in Sports. If you think you are a sports-minded type of person, your thing is always doing the jogging and push-ups as your daily routine then this one is just right for you. The world of sports is exciting. You’ll be able to go trip around the world if you’re one of the best athlete in town. You’ll be able to fight with other nationalities in honor of your own country. “Be the country’s pride”, that’s what every coach is trying to teach their athletes. We’ll that says true, because if you won’t, your talent and ability will just go into waste. And I know, none of them wants that to happen.
The last category is your life in Music. As for what everybody says, Music is everything. It could make you express your deepest thoughts. It could switch your mood. It could make you dance and do the stuffs you unusually do. You could be persuaded by music, as sweet and as smooth as it is.
Some people would join a chorale because of their love for classical music. Some would even form a band to express their love for their own genre such as rock, acoustic or reggae. Everybody just can’t get enough of it. Just can’t get enough about music because without it life would be so terribly dull and devastating. So if you have passion for music, kill each dull moment with it and make your own music too.
Then what we have next is Social life. Not everyone has it. For some, they treat social life by hanging out in the bars almost every night, drink and meeting new people there or thru internet shops by playing DOTA you could simply earn a friend or friends because you both have the same interests or it could be an outreach program wherein you voluntarily join and meet new people. Social life isn’t just about having fun and sharing the same interests, yes, indeed it’s about meeting new people and connecting with them then if lucky, they’ll continue such bond and hopefully it will end up into friendship. The start of one’s journey is about to begin.
Next stop is Love life… do you have one? Some would answer yes and some would answer no. But whatever the case maybe… that is one stage in our lives that we will learn to love and care about a certain person and we’ll receive the price in return but not all were given the chance to have their love back because you can never teach a person to love you unless he/she voluntarily give it to you. That was the sad part but don’t fret because one thing’s for sure. You’ll never be alone in this world. Every single individual will find their destined partner, it may not be today, it may not be tomorrow but it is yet to come. You don’t have to wait nor hope for it, for love will come to you unexpectedly when you least expected.
Last but not the least is the Spiritual life. The big question is. Do you still have it? Most of the people would say, “Yes, of course I do” but the truth is… He just say it but he never did. I just proved that it is easier said than done. I, myself is not exempted from that. I admit I oftentimes forget that I have to worship the Lord, our God. To meditate, pray and talk to him once in a while so that our life will be guided accordingly because at the end of our life, we’ll never know where we are going. Only God knows everything.
At this point, you’ll know that there are a lot of options you can choose from. The best choice you think you’d fit in. but be careful in choosing because it might lead you to nowhere, it might make or break your life. Tomorrow never runs out but what if it does? You have a lot of time to fix things up but what if you’re losing it without even noticing it? What could be if what might have been?
Look.
Pause.
Think.
Act.
Be Happy.
Because life is not always as it may seem.
Unveil the mystery of your tomorrow by managing your time.
“Life is short. You didn’t know when or how you’re life will end. Death might come anytime without any prior notice. No time and no specific date.”
ReplyDelete---Yeah, I agree that this is a fact. Although some people kill themselves at their preferred dates and time. Haha.
“are you going to just let it happen? Will you allow that your life will be as meaningless as a dummy?”
ReplyDelete---I’m not really sure if I’m getting this. Death is something we cannot escape, so we can just let it happen. But to the question if I will allow my life to be as meaningless as a dummy… a dummy has its own use, some life-saving units use dummies in their trainings.. Or do you mean “DUMB-ies”? a dumb is only a dumb when somebody is thinking that he/she smarter than somebody else.
“Think it over. If tomorrow never runs out, time is slowly vanishing. There are things you can continue tomorrow but you can never change what had happened no matter how hard you try.
ReplyDeleteYou can never go back to the time you committed mistake. There’s no such thing as a time machine that you can use just to correct all those things that you’ve done wrongly.”
---This is a good one. Are you familiar with the Bermuda Triangle? Some scientists say that when you come across that triangle, you are actually traveling through time, although that is still not proven because no one has ever come back from those who (I can say “accidentally”) crossed the Bermuda Triangle.
“Live like you’re going to die tomorrow” this quote is trying to tell everybody that as long as we’re breathing we should make right decisions so that our life will be meaningful and not just a piece of crap.
ReplyDelete---That quote is actually telling us to live life to the fullest. Will you still choose to do what’s morally if you’re thinking that you’re going to die tomorrow? Duh, you’re wasting your time, you’re dying come on!
Your life’s division isn’t applicable to all. Some loners don’t have social life. Some unfortunates can’t have academic life. And some doesn’t like music.
ReplyDeleteI’m deaf…
I can’t hear..
But my life isn’t terribly dull and devastating.
LOVE LIFE is a spice of life.
Yes, it is great to love and be loved. It is not just about having a boyfriend, girlfriend or some sort. But if that’s what you mean… patience is the key.
Lastly which is not supposed to be the last is your heavenly belief.
